Description

The home of the Pelendhe people for thousands of years, Anmbdheu is the seat of the Gharga and the home to the Priestess of Swepnowral, both whom occupy large huts in the middle of the village.

The main body of the village sits along a local river, known to the Pelendhe as "Sernea." It provides irrigation for the few communal crops and other plants along the banks, as well as being the main source of water for several hundred tribespeople and the main route of communication with farther-reaching members of the tribe that live downriver.

Ancient tribe legend tells of the first Wanderer, a young girl from the far north (now known as the Mountain region) who was searching for a new home for her people. The Pelendhe call these ancestors the "Antoino." This first Wanderer, called "Par'yeh," searched and searched, and encountered many dangerous and exciting monsters. Finally, she found a place beside a river under the open sky, where the stars shone so brightly at night she could almost see them with her eyes closed.

The Pelendhe honor Par'yeh every year by walking through the river en masse; this signifies her journey, as she crossed great waters to reach her home, and the steps each Pelendhe must take to be a member of the tribe.

WHAT is THIS????? why do people who say they can't draw/paint do exactly that?? this is so great. wow. the straw huts and the water, and the villagers and the moos... what a beautiful little village! Love the native american style of the place!  You don't paint more often? like this is actually really pretty, you have a great style.
And the backstory to the Pelendhe, it just gets cooler.  Damn that girl wandered far to find the ideal place.  It'd be a lot easier to live in the Grasslands than the Mountains though, so I don't blame her. XD The customs and beliefs are so wonderful, I love how different they are to most of what Equirans have and do.
